yeah I noticed that too when I was looking around :) It is quite funny that there should be a special Korean version, but I guess these types of films have quite a market there...
Did you notice what extras are on there?

I'm not sure, I am thinking it is the same as the metal case one that you and I just bought but it comes with another dvd so who knows??
It just looks cool and to be an owner of that edition would be cool. I love the movie greatly :D

Hey I will admit, the movies she is in are rare and not a lot of people know about them which makes them so great! It's like having your own secret movie.
Even though Pan's Labyrinth is 'popular' still a lot of people have neve seen it . . .. it's like a secret :D
mbuckingham - May 30, 2008 07:58 AM (GMT)
yeah it's a great feeling being one of the rare people that have got a really nice DVD :)

Yeah it looks pretty cool B)-
It even comes with the replica key that Ofelia gets from the frog . . . .. nice collectable

I actually got this back in March; a very cool edition. The key isn't a replica per se, I think it's meant more as a bookmark or some such, the book however is very nice with a selection of production sketches, etc. In fact the art clearly shows the Latin phrase that adorns the entry to the labyrinth: In consiliis nostris fatum nostrum est (In our decisions exists our destiny) Incidentally fatum can mean "death" or "doom" in addition to "destiny"; possibly intended to foreshadow the ending (for both Ofelia and Vidal).

Yeah that's really kool Dsprag, I might just buy this for my collection then :) I bet it looks really nice in your DVD collection!

oh cool! It's neat that you have this version ^_^
So what do the 3 discs have on them? One is the movie and what do the other 2 have??
dsprag - May 31, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
Actually, it only has two discs. But the second disc includes a fairly long series of behind the scenes interviews and footage. There isn's so much of Ivana as we all might like, but the stuff is at least distinct from the American release.

That's cool, yeah I think that second disc is the same one that comes with the spanish (Spain) DVD. I just bought that version so I can't wait to see the extras. :D The USA version extras disc is pretty weak . . .
