Ivana Baquero (born 11 June 1994) is a Catalan child actress best known for her starring role in Pan's Labyrinth. She was born in Barcelona, Spain. Director Guillermo del Toro chose her to play the lead role of Ofelia in Pan's Labyrinth, for which she won critical acclaim. In April of 2007 she signed on for her first English-language role, the title role in The New Daughter, a supernatural thriller film from Gold Circle Films. Written by John Travis and based on a short story by noted horror-thriller writer John Connolly.

Beleive it or not but Acting was not a goal Ivana had in mind at first. When she first tried it, it wasn't like she was overly excited about being an actress. They said she did well and after that it started to grow on her. Acting is more of a hobby for Ivana which is very cool. She still plans to go to school and get a degree and be able to act at the same time. She has great close friends. Ivana is a kind and caring girl with a wonderful Mom and Dad who support her career. :D
