I'm going to start removing the old ranking system and adding in the new one/a beta of it. Don't be alarmed if your rank disappears for awhile with a "offline warning" or you all of the sudden are a Grade 1 Recruit again.

The new progression bar that is added to indicate how much more exp you need to rank up will make adding the new system take longer, maybe even a week, it's worth it if it works though.

I've spent quite a while designing it and it's turned out good, just need to start on it tonight adding in the stuff so sit tight B)-

I'm interested to see it, can't wait until you get all of that finished up.

from what i've created so far it's pretty cool how it works, It will take a long time to add in though, so it will be a really slow process lol

New rank system in progress . . .

What i did is render each one out in a sequence (easy) now I have to upload each one individually and tell the system when the next image should appear, so as more posts = update in progress bar.

The gray bar shows exp and how close you are to a new rank, so when 10 grey block are full it means you are very close to a new rank.

the blue bars shows skill and how far through the ranking system you are. it goes from levels 1-50 and every 5 you gain a new blue block. so at 5, 10, 15. 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 an additional block will appear.

It's kind of a psychological thing really, even if someone doesn't care THAT much they see it close so it may give them the incentive to post more . . .who knows.

Not sure if you're aware, but the icon in the inbox to show you replied to a PM is a ranking symbol.

yeah those little white icons are new also, all the forum posts have them =)

ok I've gotten through Lieutenant and First Lieutenant. only 12 more ranks to go lol

tonight i will continue adding newer ranks, some ppl have already landed on their true rank already, only about the top 9 or so members are not at their real rank yet, in time this will sort out.

Basically everyone but 2 members are now at their true rank.

I'l keep on adding in the new ones and in a day or so when i am finished i'll have somethign in the announcements about how it all works and stuff.
