Yeah I like it. A whole different way of playing music.
Serenity:
Oh yeah I love guitars. Does your dad play the electric or acoustic guitar? Or does he play both?
Jeff - May 25, 2009 07:24 AM (GMT)
yeah, it is a new world.
Then theres my Fender Fretless Jazz Bass B)-
Fretless Basses are a new challenge, cuz you dont learn where to put your hand by feel, you learn where to put your hand by tone.
It's literally like your playing by your ears. and your hands just follow suit.

Cool. So you play Jazz? Nice.
I'm a Rock person. I wanna learn some Jazz though. What's good to hear?
Jeff - May 25, 2009 07:44 AM (GMT)
Its only called a Jazz bass, though I do enjoy some good Jazz. I mainly play pop-punk (punk with a pop sense to it), I play a lot more things then that, but at the temp that All Time Low plays at, it can get tiring o nthe fingers. lol
I prefer the Jazz over a normal P-bass becasue it has a smoother tone. But thats only for Fender/Squire Basses.
I've never tried anyhting else like eps, peavy, ibanez, etc...
You Should check out guitar center for some Fender Jazz Basses and Fender Jaguar Basses. Both amazingly sexy guitars. I'm not saying to go out and buy them, everyone has their preference, but if ur bored check em out.

Looked them up, they're quite pricey. The least expensive one I found was the Ibanez SR300 Fretless Bass Guitar.

I got my Fender Fretless Jazz for $470, new.
My local music store had one used, for $520, and i told the guy at guitar center that, and since they always say "well beat their price" I got a NEW bass for $470 for christmas. :)

That's cool. Since this was my first bass I went for a $195.00 one.

so have you learned anything yet?
and do you use a pick or are you trying to play with your fingers?
