I've been reading around the internet and saw that Jackie Chan is gonna be Mr. Miyagi in the remake of the classic movie The Karate Kid. Also the one cast to play Daniel-san is Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son, who is 11 years old. What do you all think? Will it be as good as the original or will it be a mistake to try and remake a classic movie for a younger audience?

Anywho... I wonder if 11 years old is a good age to play Daniel Larusso's part. In the original he was a high school student and already had a love interest.

Yeah, I wonder too how Jackie will be as Mr. Miyagi. Miyagi was a soldier for the U.S. in WW2 and his family was sent to the Japanese American internment camps the U.S. had.There his wife who was pregnant died. This was a major part in Miyagi's life.
If it's a remake will it be set to the original Karate Kid time line or will they leave this part out of the movie to set it to this new millennium.
