If you asked me 1 year ago where Armory Digital Forums would be and if it would even grow i would be like "What is that?" Sure this 'forum' existed one year ago but it was not always Known as Armory Digital. For any new members this history if the forum may surprise you a bit.

Back in the day . . .

Back in November of 2007 I got the idea to start my own forum about actress named Ivana Baquero. i had never made a forum before. So after 4 months of learning and testing in March of 2008 I officially opened the Ivana Baquero Forums. As any new forum the first 2 months were a total strain on me to get new members and were very slow. But I advertised and made it work. Eventually we had a few people on every week or so. This was back in the day when i got excited to see a real person posting on the forum. That was back in the day when some sections had only 1 or two posts.

As time progressed though things became steady and things were looking pretty solid for the Ivana forum. then I decided we needed a change.

The formation of Armory Digital

Forming an entire forum on a single actress soon became a little hard to maintain since the one I was basing it off of had very little new updates to keep the place interesting enough. So with swift decision and not really by popular demand i decided to turn the forum into a digital media graphics place. this grew attention for more people and eventually after the change things REALLY started to explode. and after more than half a year of being known as Armory Digital we've reached well over 20,000 posts which most first year forums never even make it to let alone make iit through the toughest year . . .the first year. But this girl ain't gunna die and she'll keep on going and going and I can see it's going to get even better.

Well before you start complaining, make sure you know how to spell. It's always good to know where we came from . . now onto the future plans of the site.

Things will go on the rest of the year as they are. A few sub sections may change but nothing too drastic. And if you are fretting over the IF to Zeta conversion. Don;'t worry not gunna happen in 09' at least. for 2009 Armory Digital will still be on the IF servers. 2009 is all beta testing for Zeta. i have a separate beta version of this forum which i am learning and testing to see if the conversion would be better or worse for us. Likewise expect sometime this fall of 09 for a few of you to be selected for that beta testing on the test site. but don't think too much about it yet. I'm still a few month away from opening it to the testers.

Also we may be getting a website for the forums, yes that is right, not some crap hosted by someone else that gives you limited options but I mean a REAL website which i can run and we can host large media files and stuff. I cannot say when exactly this will happen but if the funds come in correctly it could be built as early as this upcoming summer.

For now that is all I want to let you in on. it's enough to suck your brain dry anyways. just make sure you check the info center for news. Sometimes it may slip you mind to check in here becasue it does not update as fast as the rest of the forum, but i assure the most important info is in this section.

Yeah I wasn't here for the Ivana part but I gotta say, this forum is great. I'm glad it picked up the way it has and a website? COOOL :D.

for starters the website will have a lot of signatures and avatars hosted so we can have a gallery for people to choose from. also we can show case people works and i can make a cool flash sideshow of it all B)-

Also there is another thing but that has to wait, it's been under wraps since fall 08' but it may not work so i don't want to get people's hope s up. but if it does happen it will make the website really cool.

also any cool stuff you'd want on the site could be taken into consideration later down the road.

So will this forum be a part of the Website, or will there a be link to this forum from this website? Like how they did Ivana's?

there will be links between the two, the main goal is to get people here but the the website will still be a cool place to visit.

Some people who join a new may make that the home page, but for us this kinda is the home page so it will be vice versa for some.

Either way I know how to make a pretty decent site. i just need time and a little extra cash that i can spent to keep it running for longer then a year and we could have it soon =)

I remember, when IF was hacked thats how I learned about this place.

oh yeah I remember that hacking lol, it totally freaked me out when it was some issue with the domains lol

Yeah, it was pretty stressing for all of us, whether at TRL, or THL, we were stressed, and thats how I learned you had a board, and I joined soon after.

yeah crazy times that was, especially since I had just bought the domain and I seriously thought someone had personally hacked my forum when I come to fins out if was a global IF thing.

And whatever happened to the Nascar Painting site uoui started in the summer that Jeff and I were on too.

it's still vacant. it won't be going anywhere. this is the place to be =)

I got plans for some NR2003 stuff here though ) don;'t worry when the websites comes up you'll see a lot of cool NR2003 content and stuff B)-

cool nice to know the history and hosting can be expensive and can be hard to find the right host for what you need, but it not all about getting what you need. Sometimes you have to give up some stuff to get a good hosting company. (usually minor behind the scene stuff that users will never see or pay attention to) Rock on for 2009 ak

yeah when the website comes up there will be a new section on the forum for it also b/c there will be thing to talk about for sure =)

I plan to in the next few weeks building the pages for the site :D

well it will resemble the same color scheme as here, it will have a futuristic metallic look too

yeah there was a domain hack this one week at the invisonfree site. all domains went wack and screwed things up,. they fixed it fast though, it didn't hurt any boards either, just redirected stuff to a hacker site for awhile . . .
