Title: actor vs actress

What does ever think of actor vs. actress do you think a person gets more fame cause of their gender, the media don't really matter in gender they dish the dirt on them all but usually femeles you see more of, or fan sites have you noticed that there are more fan sites for actresses then actors. I think actresses tend to get more fame then actors, what do you all think?

I agree, I personally like actresses more but characters like Monk and Burn Notice, those guys are just as cool.
I got more to say later, i just need my class to end, then i'll add more . . .

cool be interesting to see your longer post, I personally have more actors that I like then actresses but there are a few I really like, but I do think more people pay attention to actress more then a actor.

ok I'm back . . . time to continue . . .
I tend to like actresses more b/c the ones i hold in high esteem seem to be really talented. Not to say guy actors or not but I find it interesting with most female actresses they bring a lot of their talent with them onto the screen.
Like Summer Glau she is a ballet dancer. In many of the series she has been in (Firefly and T:SCC) you see scenes of her dancing. Also for me, they tend to do an excellent job bring emotions out.
But Like for the Tv series monk Tony Shalhoub can also be just as emotional.
I guess for me, perky, happy actresses are something i like. They get to fulfill their dream in acting and do a good job at it.

Yeah girls get more attention. Plus it might also depend on web designers. What's the gender ratio on that? Is there more guy web designers than girls? I know some girls put up sites for female celebrities but maybe the majority are guys who put up sites for female actresses. Who knows?
You ask a good question purple.
However when it comes to sports, that's definitely a male dominated area when it comes to fame and all that.
Fame-ometer:
Actor vs Actress: Actress wins
M Athlete vs F Athlete: M Athlete wins
Well that's my opinion on that.

That makes a lot of sense actually. I think movies and TV are woman's realm more and athletics is when more men are famous.

In the business world there are most likely more guys then girls as web designers but when comes to fan sites I have noticed it more girls that do it especially for girls there a few sites out there for girls run by guys but they get s**t about it for doing it (refer to double standard post)

yeah i actually know a girl who runs a site about an actress but then the Summer-Glau.net I think is run by a guy.
I don't see any issue why a guy cannot run a fansite about an actress at all. I think it's the highest form of respect right there. Most guys these days are too rude to even consider doing something like that.

Yes I agree with you but most think it wrong/perverted/put other item here, to do it. My brother and me have talked about that before and he says people are just too narrow minded to see the bigger picture. I think it a very high honor for someone to make a fan site for someone male or female.
Serenity - February 19, 2009 10:51 PM (GMT)
yeah i agree, some people see people who post and/or makes fansite as weird . . .I see nothing wrong with it as long as the people running ti are not like obsessed, but having a fansite is cool.
