Appalled by the lack of Pipboy and Vault tec here, I must start a thread for this. Actually out of the people who ave played this/seen it, what did you like/not like. Also if you played the firsst 2 what comparisons did you have.

the story line was very well put and the quests are very fun.
I play it so much I already hit the level cap.

What's the level cap?

You can only go up to level 20.
The second expansion moves it up to 30
and then I think the third goes to 40.
I already have the first expansion and beat it.

I love Fallout 3

I havnt played it in about a week or so, but I really should here soon again.



My dad kicks hard A** at this game though. He'll start a new game and in like 2 days he'll be like level 13 and have a good full stock of ammo and a Chinese Assault rifle and like all the (Censored) caps ever. lol

I have all but 3 of the bobble heads.
I don't want to get the laser one cause its to close to the end game mission.
When the third expansion comes out it lets you play past the
main quest and it wont end. Thats the best part I think.
So I'll wait another month. The second one is coming out in a few days though. Also if you ever get stuck or have problems go here.

i completed anchorage alaska!

and now im just lurking aorund all the places to go in the DC ruins, hanvt even made my way past megaton in words of exploration, just all around DC.

started a new game a while back but just picked back up on it, level 8 now woo!

I beat the new expansion "The Pitt".
I don't want to beat the game with my main character
cause then you cant go back to playing. I'll just wait for
the third expansion so I can keep playing.
My first one is level 20. I favorite gun is the black hawk.
I also found the alien space ship with the dead alien and alien blaster.
It kills most enemies in one hit. but once you run out
of ammo there's no more. I found some more in a cola truck though.
My second character is only level 9 but I made her evil.
I always make my second character a bad chick.
I blew up megaton. Moria wont DIE!!!

they recharge in a crater somewhere on the map, if the enclave are out there, they are studying the crater where a bomb hit.

and i THINK theres some in the National Guard depot, or the Outcast place. one or the other.

oh and they new DLC is due out tomorrow.

Oh yea I'm finally gonna get to see the end.
Also what do you mean by recharge in the crater?
the alien blaster? how?

alein power cells (ammo), they respawn in this crater after like a week from picking them up.

its inside of a military truck that destroyed in the middle of the crater.

Oh no way!
you need to pinpoint it out on a map
and send the pic. I've only been using it against the behemoths
and in crowded situations.

Ok I found the truck in the crater where I got them
before but nothing there but the Enclave.
Its been over a week.

idk, i never use the alien blaster.


and i completed the game.... sorta, still gotta finish off the enclave.

but hey, the paingiver armor from the pitt looks sexy :D lol

So I downloaded the new expansion!
And I realized how freakin hard it is to level up
at level 20. I killed 9 super mutants, 2 super mutant overlords,
2 super mutant masters, and 6 Deathclaws and not done yet.

where can i find an overloard?

They pop up at random with other super mutants.
Its said some might carry the tri beam laser rifle.
Which is a laser shot gun. What pisses me off is there is
this bad A** magnum but the only way to get it is to be bad.
Gah! It'll take forever to get the bad character here and I want
my main character to have it. and he's good.

is it the laser mini-gun?

cuz i have like 7 of them and my charecter has the jesus thing for my karma level.

theres a s**t load of em in Broken Steel, and like one or two in raven rock.

I got lucky and found one in the very begining of the game, killed a wastelander to get it, but i wanted it too bad :)

Q: so what have we learned from The Pitt?
A: That stealing babys is wrong!

No its a laser rifle but it shoots lasers like a shot gun.
Its like the metal blaster in the pitt ( I kidnapped the baby
to help the peoples) but more like a sawed off laser shotgun.
The Karma thing I was saying is this scoped magnum which is even more powerful than the black hawk. Its called Callahan's Magnum like from
Clint Eastwood movie Dirty Harry, but you have too be evil to get it. (don't want to spoil that part yet) That's dumb cause the magnum is my favorite.
Also I got the heavy incinerator it shoots fire balls like a mortar.
Its awesome.

so i came across a pack of wild Albino Rad-Scorpians today....

I only came across one so far.
Holy s**t there poison is strong!
And there durable too.
Also I got the tribeam laser from a SM Overlord.
I actually died a couple times and that NEVER happens.
They were several of other mutants with him as well.

i have yet to come across an overlord.

but (Censored) ive seen like a whole bunch of albino rad scorpians out there.

Well i bought this game today, my friends were insisting i'd love it so I went out to gamestop and got it . . . tonight i'll start and see how it is =)

Oh its great and I just got the new expansion point look out.

Point lookout is fun.

I just hate the random roaming ghouls that typically have one Reaver with them. That s**t gets annoying, but for the most part I fricken love the way the Confederate Hat mixes with the Merc Charmer outfit.

I haven't played it yet but i will tonight.

Well i started last night . . .. how did you guys escape vault 101?? I couldn't find an alternative way so I killed the overseer . . .. um opps . . .

its one of the many ways you can do it.

I killed him too, and I'm a level 23 (i think) Last Hope Of Humanity. lol



but man, I've found eveything in Point Lookout now. Havnt done every single quest tho. Only thing I really hate is all the (Censored) Ghoul Reavers.

THe swamp-folk arent all that bad, theres usually only a tracker and a creeper movin along. I'll snipe the creeper (without VATS) then snipe the tracker (w/o VAYS) then he'll start runnin at me and I use the lever rifle and kill him one good.


honestly, they did a good job on this. THe environment is done so we'll. Its literally what I'm growing up around; Swampy area with plenty of trees, bugs n s**t are everywhere. I just love the southern appeal of this DLC.

Operation Anchorage (simulation of the Great War in Alaska)
The Pitt (u go to Pittsburge)
Broken Steel (addition to the main story, new enemies)
Point Lookout (Maryland, new enemies, place, everyhting)
Mothership Zeta (not out yet)

each are 800 MS points each.

I completed all quests in point lookout even the the two unmarked quests. I put everything on very hard so yea the ghouls are a pain.
If you go to pliks house theres a book on a table that makes you do
more damage to ghouls. Also I have the ghoul mask so if I dont feel
like fighting them I just put it on and walts right past them lol.

I heard the mothership zeta was only gonna be with the game of the year editon for fallout3. That better not be true.

do these extra dlc's come with new achievements?

yes

cool, well after i actually get through the game i'll see if i want the extra stuff too B)-

just dont forget when you beat the main misiion it ends the game
unless you have broken steel.

I am now level 30 MESSIAH!
I choose the last perk almost perfect wich raised all
speacial atributes to 9. strength and charisma are 10.
I am now god in this game!
only one thing to do.
start all over as an evil chick!
of course if mothership zeta isnt game of the year edition only
then I'll still keep up and going.

wait, so if i beat the main mission i can't play anymore as that character and I have to start over?

You can only go to you last save.
So play a bunch of the other missions annd a little of the main
and if you like it get broken steel so you can keep playing with that
character. Oh yea and pay attention to the bible verse your dad shows you.
