Title: 5 Stars!

Serenity - January 25, 2009 09:24 PM (GMT)
Basically every track I gave a five star rating in my itunes. Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Soundtrack has got to be one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard the music is right down my alley and just amazing. it's got this metalic feel like it should for the terminators but sounds so amazing and flows togther with the deep beats and sythetic noises . . . . I gotta get the DVD series now.

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 04:53 AM (GMT)
I never rate my music. Oh and soundtracks are awesome!!

I got a whole bunch of those. I don't have terminator though.

It's Amazon time!! LOL

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:12 AM (GMT)
are you listening to them now?

yeah the track #2 in the image is the one i made =)

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 07:15 AM (GMT)
You made? Explain.

Is it in the album?

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:18 AM (GMT)
I took the first track, the Theme song that was like 46 seconds long and made an 8 min song out of it.

I used Adobe Audition 3 and added effects, made different areas and low bass section and sythesizers . . . .if was fun.

I liked the song so i made it repeat but also give it a additional feel, so I didn't MAKE it, I enhanced it lol

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:21 AM (GMT)
crap i meant to say

so I didn't MAKE it, I enhanced it

Hey that's cool. I used to get into doing tracks using Finale 07, Fruity Loops, and Symphonic Orchestra. I also used VST Plugins from Hardcore Bass and Guitar Rig 2. I would create MIDI tracks and import them into Fruity Loops and see what came out. LOL..

I had Sonar but my computer was always to slow to record in Real Time. I had bad latency issues so I just gave up the whole thing.

LOL I have Superman and Star Wars themes. I tried getting them close to the John Williams one but the program wouldn't exactly match it. It's pretty close though. You could hear some differences. I used Cool Edit Pro to mix the different MIDI tracks for these though.

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:24 AM (GMT)
do you want the track?

also how is sonar? Is it a professional program? b/c Adobe Audition is but i like to try different software of the like if i can to get a broad understanding =)

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 07:26 AM (GMT)
Sure I'll take it, thanks.

Sonar is cool. It has a lot of plugins but the one I see a lot of professional artists use is Pro Tools. They say that one is the best.

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:28 AM (GMT)
cool I'll look into it . . .uploading song . . . check ur PM box soon =)

post back after you hear it and tell em what you think, did you already here the main theme from the OST yet?

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 07:33 AM (GMT)
I'll give both a listen right now.

Hey this is really good. I especially like that flange effect I'm a big Van Halen fan LOL. Hey all those effects were so cool. You got skills at this. I found myself going back to original and back to yours to hear where you added things lol. The synths are cool sounding. Are those guitar swells? The bass line sound cool and I love that Terminator theme... Woot!

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:48 AM (GMT)
what can I say . . .my skills in the digital realm never cease rotfl

not i just have been using the entire bundle of Adobe products for a long time so I've played around and had a lot of fun. I also can make my own original music, i got a keyboard and i can record stuff to the comp and create beats and an entire score . . . .but it take hours just to make one song b/c like graphics . . . so many options lol

BUT I guarantee you will get to listen to some of my original stuff . . . . I can't say when though

I really hope you enjoy the TSCC OST, it's really good B)-

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 07:53 AM (GMT)
Yeah I love soundtracks. I found one recently I was amazed to find. It was from the book I read of Stephen King. Silver Bullet (Life Cycle of the Werewolf)...I love it...

Oh and Krull and Willow!! Woot James Horner is awesome.

Can't wait to hear your stuff. You should somehow get your stuff patented before you release it. Is that what they do?LOL... Just so people don't rip you off and say they made it. It can be a cruel world sometimes.

Serenity - January 26, 2009 07:55 AM (GMT)
Wait I have one thing i made entirely on my own still hosted on megaupload . . . .I'll send you the link =)

ralphalf - January 26, 2009 07:56 AM (GMT)
