In 2002 a tv series was created called Firelfy. The series drew quite a bit of attention from it's different design and view of sci-fi western genre. But sadly only after 14 episodes the series was canceled for reasons that could have been prevented. But this didn't stop the fans from making Firefly a huge hit when it was released as a DVD set.
Firefly is about a captain and his crew on the fringes of space that takes jobs as they can (legal and illegal) so they can survive. Along the way they pick up people looking for passage and soon realize one of these people are very important to the governing rule: The Alliance. Throughout the series there will be laughs, awesome moments, and secrets revealed. Firefly, while the DVD set is only 14 episodes (1 hour each about) captures a world and future that feels real and the characters are extremely unique which makes this series very special.
