Cuento de Navidad

This is one of Ivana’s more recent roles. A film directed by Paco Plaza who also directed another of Ivana’s earlier roles Romasanta, obviously Ivana had a lasting impression on him!

Also of interest, Luis Berdejo wrote the script, he’s currently directing New Daughter. So it seems that Ivana has made a lasting impression on all the directors she has worked with!

Now for the film!

Ivana stars in this film as Moni.

I was extremely pleased after watching this film; it certainly satisfied my desire to see more of Ivana’s acting talent. And for certain, I will recommend it to any Ivana fan!

The story follows 5 children who form a bond together which falls out ultimately for better or for worse!

The story starts with Moni finding a woman dressed as Santa Clause fallen into a deep pit. The children find out that she is really a dangerous criminal, and decide to keep her in the pit as their prisoner… But what happens next? That’s for you to find out!

The film takes a very viewer friendly outlook, and you are able to get into the story within the first few minutes… There’s one word for this film “thrilling”! Very Thrilling!

It’s a horror movie in essence, but in contrary to a lot of horror movies, it doesn’t spend all it’s screen time trying to scare you, it spend more time on getting to know the characters so that you will feel strongly for them when the horrors do start.

As usual in all Ivana’s films, she is a whole bundle of emotions, and if you can’t feel for her character in this movie you must have a really cold heart.

At the beginning, there must be one of the most beautiful pictures of Ivana ever, she is so charming. Then as the film develops we see more of her gentle nature. Finally towards the end we see Ivana’s great acting talent of being able to show real strong fear (and I was really afraid for her too!)

Well I hope I’ve somehow managed to get you to buy this film, because you are really going to enjoy it. There is almost as much of Ivana as in Pan’s Labyrinth! And it is certainly the best Ivana movie after Pan’s Labyrinth.

I saw a couple of the other movies in the set (the film comes in a set of 6 Horror films) and there are very good too!

I'll write a final review of the whole set once I've watched them all, and then hopefully you'll all buy it when it comes out on Lionsgate! It's certainly worth it :)

Hit the print screen function on your keyboard when you see an image you like B)- then in a painting/photo program you can crop and edit the image :D

I found a pic of Ivana and some other kids looking
down a hole.
I didint know what it was from but I think it was the
hole the Santa thief was in in this movie.

6 Movies to be precise :) yes and the Christmas tale has loads of Ivana... so even worth it just for the Ivana bits :)

So trying to order it was a bust.
But finally I got it and it was for free cause it was a
gift for Easter. Just watched it and I really like it.
Ivana played the nice girl and did it very well.
I enjoyed the overall movie as well.
